RESERVATION POLICIES

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • All bookings must be communicated with the proprietor of The Retriever Retreat via phone, email, or through the website booking channel.
    • Uncommunicated stays will incur a one-time charge for administration purposes.
  • All campers and their guests/visitors must agree to and abide by our Rules and Policies (see Rules of Training).
  • The Retriever Retreat caters exclusively to dogs and their trainers ages 18 and older. Trainers under 18 are allowed on the campground at any time, unless additional waivers have been approved.
  • Non-holiday reservations require the two-night minimum or 50% of charges as a deposit to hold a reservation.
  • No discounts apply on cabin or tent-cot rentals.
  • We reserve the right to limit the number of dogs and humans per site or rental unit.
  • No arrivals are permitted after 8 PM  (weekdays) or 9 PM (weekends) or before 10 AM. You must make arrangements for arrivals after 6 PM.
  • All canines and humans visiting registered campers must register in the office upon arrival. Visitor fees may apply depending upon duration of stay.
  • Monthly reservations will be charged a 50% deposit at time of reservation. Monthly site leases do not renew automatically. Extensions have to be requested at least five days before lease ends and will be granted upon site availability.

 

HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS

 

  • All holidays require a 3-night minimum rental
  • Holiday, special event and rally reservations are charged in full at the time reservations are made.
  • Holidays observed include
    • New Year's Day
    • Easter
    • Memorial Day
    • 4th of July (Weekend before or after)
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas Eve & Day

CANCELLATION POLICIES

Cancellation Policy for Rental units:

 

  • All cancellations for any reservation must be submitted in writing (preferably via email).
  • No refunds or rain checks for cancellations involving Holidays or other designated special event weekends.
  • Rental Unit Cancellations:

    • Greater than 30 days notice must be given to receive a refund
      (less a $25 admin fee). 

    • Less than 30 days but greater than 14 days notice must be given to get a raincheck (less a $25 admin fee).

    • No refunds nor rain checks with less than 14 days notice.

  • Rain checks must be used prior to the end of the season in which they are issued.
  • No refunds/rain checks are given for early departures.

 

COVID-19 POLICIES and Procedures

Health and Saftey Policy for Rental units:

Due to the complex nature of the ongoing pandemic world wide, we have implemented more rigid measures to ensure the health and saftey of our animal's handlers. 

  • Social distancing ettiquette is in effect in indoor spaces.
  • Enhanced room disinfection protocols
  • Enhanced dishware disinfection protocols

With these protocols in place, there will be a one-time charge of $45 (per stay, per unit) for ensuring the saftey of our next handler. This will be added in automatically during booking and the Statement line item on the final statement is listed as "Room Cleaning".
